In one montage, McCall takes silent note of the vast swath of humanity finding brief succor in the back of his car, and The Equalizer 2 threatens to become a bizarro remake of Taxi Driver wherein Travis Bickle is just melancholy instead of sociopathic.

If you can stomach that - and it's a lot to stomach, worse than the occasional exposed-guts gore - then The Equalizer 2 is a reasonably well-written and (of course) beautifully acted serving of geriatric-virility violence porn, with Washington on the trail of Leo's assassins.
